    Nice alternative to the Canon macro light at a good price. I thought it would be nice to have one but couldn't justify the price of the Canon, so I gave this a try. It has a solid build to it (like my other Yongnuo flashes) and has worked flawlessly with my cameras. I've had great luck with Yongnuo products, and this one didn't disappoint.

    For the price, this little ring flash cannot be beat. It is MUCH less than the canon ringflash at 90% the quality.

    I am very impressed by this product. I've shot macro for a number of years using a 580EXII, 90mm Tamron Macro, and kenko full extension tube set. This flash is a major improvement! It feels very well made. The only potential issue is you have to apply a lot of pressure when closing the battery door. The door bends while doing so. Even with this in mind be careful to apply even pressure across the cover while closing and you shouldnt have an issue. Love how easy the flash is to quickly change the exposure compensation. TTL mode works well. Shocked how inexpensive it is. Buy it already and stop reading this.

    This ring flash works great! I was debating purchasing the much pricier Canon ring flash but for the actual amount of usage I needed it for, this was a much better decision. I've purchased Yongnuo speedlights before and have never been disappointed with this brand. Can't beat the simplicity, functionality, and performance for the price.

    Well constructed (Youngnuo stuff is world class). I use it to photograph coins for sale on eBay and auctions using a closeup/macro stand. Was a little difficult getting the right settings on the unit and my Canon t4i. The manual is not very clearly written, but trial and error on settings is not that difficult and I finally set on settings that result in outstanding pics.... Great lighting with even no shadows results. This unit is a phenomenal buy in terms of value compared to the Similar Canon unit which sells for hundreds of dollars more.

    I purchased this so I could experiment with macro photography. I wanted all the Canon features but couldn't justify the Canon price tag. This was a perfect choice for me. It can't compare with the Canon build quality and probably wouldn't hold up to rugged treatment but I am careful with my equipment and will not be using it in a production environment. I have been very happy with it and expect it to give me good service. All things considered a great value for the money.

    Seems to work perfectly, I got a 52mm to 58mm step up ring adapter for my Tamron 90mm macro, and it works fine. Seems well made, setup is easy, it comes with a handy pouch. TTL gives you perfect exposures every time, knowing its limitations (you obviously need to be close to your macro subject). Hopefully it will keep going for some time. A notice tells you to use Nimh batteries, luckily I got some Eneloop Pros for it.
